The main reason for having two profiles is for legal issues because we have a third party application that we want to send e-mails from using two different e-mail accounts, however it looks like Outlook will only use the first e-mail account to send from. The issue with this method or any other method using separate profiles is the users actually have close one account and login to another which will come to be annoying and time consuming, while it will work it creates problems when people either forget to switch or simply can't be bothered. any idea how an application might differentiate which e-mail account to use for sending e-mail?

Otherwise, try using Outlook for one and OWA for the other or another email client? Is it for email alerts? Set the second as a favorite and monitor the Inbox for new emails.
